 The development of Rail transport started in India during the British rule. Then After the attainment of ratta, there was a rapid development of Rail transport country in mind Indian Railways system is the largest in Asia and the second largest in the world.  The length of Rail route in the country in 1950-51 is 53596 km . Which year was in 2012-13 it incerased to 64600KMs  Railway station in the country at present is  7112 and 13.26 lakh workers are imployed in the Railway . As of 13 March 2015 Indian Railways as 10822 local Huh.
